  • Module 3: Waste Policy, Laws, and International Standards (11:30 – 01:00)
    • Basel Convention, ISO 14001, UAE & GCC regulations
  • Module 4: Workshop – Conduct a Waste Stream Mapping Exercise (02:00 – 03:30)
    • Identify and categorize waste sources in an organization

Day 2: Waste Minimization and Resource Recovery

  • Module 5: Waste Prevention and Material Efficiency (07:30 – 09:30)
    • Process redesign, lean operations, packaging reduction
  • Module 6: Recycling, Composting, and Energy Recovery (09:45 – 11:15)
    • Sorting technologies, WTE, composting methods
  • Module 7: Designing Site Waste Management Plans (11:30 – 01:00)
    • Collection systems, container labeling, waste contractor roles
  • Module 8: Workshop – Build a Waste Reduction Action Plan (02:00 – 03:30)
    • Plan goals, targets, and responsibilities

Day 3: Safety, Compliance, and Performance Monitoring

  • Module 9: Safe Handling, Storage, and Transportation of Waste (07:30 – 09:30)
    • Labeling, PPE, emergency procedures, compatibility
  • Module 10: Waste Audits and Performance Metrics (09:45 – 11:15)
    • Waste quantification, KPIs, audit templates
  • Module 11: Communicating and Reporting Waste Performance (11:30 – 01:00)
    • Internal reporting, ESG disclosures, sustainability reports
  • Module 12: Final Workshop – Simulate a Waste Audit for a Facility (02:00 – 03:30)
