• Primary and secondary assessment of casualties
• Managing an emergency scene safely - Module 2: CPR and AED Usage (09:45 – 11:15)
• Adult CPR techniques and recovery position
• Automated External Defibrillator (AED) – use and precautions - Module 3: Breathing Issues & Choking (11:30 – 01:00)
• Managing blocked airways, choking procedures
• Hyperventilation and asthma response - Module 4: Practical Exercises – Emergency Response Drill (02:00 – 03:30)
• Simulated CPR and AED use
• Live assessment of scenario-based responses
Day 2: Injury Management and Incident Control
- Module 5: Bleeding and Wound Care (07:30 – 09:30)
• Treating open wounds, nosebleeds, and embedded objects
• Controlling bleeding using bandages and pressure - Module 6: Fractures and Bone Injuries (09:45 – 11:15)
• Identification of fractures, dislocations, and sprains
• Immobilization techniques and splinting basics - Module 7: Head, Eye, and Spinal Injuries (11:30 – 01:00)
• Trauma assessment and stabilization
• Handling unconscious casualties with suspected spinal injuries - Module 8: Workshop – Bandaging & Splinting Skills (02:00 – 03:30)
• Hyper-realistic simulations for injuries and bleeding
Day 3: Medical Conditions & Final Assessment
- Module 9: Shock, Seizures, and Burns (07:30 – 09:30)
• Types of shock and appropriate treatment
• Managing seizures and epilepsy
• Treatment of burns and scalds - Module 10: Diabetes, Stroke, and Poisoning (09:45 – 11:15)
• Recognition and emergency action plans
• Preventative safety in the workplace - Module 11: Recordkeeping & Legal Considerations (11:30 – 01:00)
• Incident documentation and communication with emergency services
• Legal protection and responsibilities under first aid law - Module 12: Final Practical and Written Assessment (02:00 – 03:30)
• Performance-based evaluation for NUCO certification
Certification
Participants will receive the NUCO Accredited Level 3 Certificate in First Aid at Work, a recognized UK qualification. This certification confirms the participant’s ability to respond effectively in emergency medical situations and comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
