Course Introduction

The Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response & Rescue is designed for personnel who are or aim to become part of an on-site emergency response team in mining or heavy industrial settings. This nationally recognized qualification equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to respond effectively to emergencies such as fires, hazardous material incidents, confined space rescues, and vehicle accidents in mining environments.

This intensive, hands-on program integrates advanced rescue techniques, safety procedures, team leadership, and the operation of specialized rescue equipment to ensure high-performance outcomes in high-risk situations.

Day 3: Breathing Apparatus and Gas Detection

  • Module 1: Use of Open Circuit Breathing Apparatus (07:30 – 09:30)

Certification

Participants who successfully complete all course modules, assessments, and simulations will be awarded the National Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response & Rescue, certifying their capability to serve as frontline responders in mining emergencies across varied operational settings.
